CRITICAL SAFETY NOTICE

Never display or handle an airsoft replica openly in public.

Transport replicas unloaded, covered, and secured. Treat them as if a bystander could mistake them for a real firearm—because they can.

01 // EXPECTATIONS

WHAT HAPPENS
ON GAME DAY.

Airsoft is an honor-based team game using low-energy plastic BBs. Your day will usually follow this sequence; field staff instructions always take priority.

Check in

Waiver, admission, rental pickup, and staging area assignment.

Gear up

Eye protection on where required. Load magazines only in designated areas.

Chronograph

Staff verify replica energy using the field’s FPS or joule limits.

Safety brief

Listen for boundaries, MEDs, hit rules, blind-man calls, and prohibited gear.

Play

Follow referees, call hits clearly, and keep replicas safe in staging.

Clear out

Remove magazine, clear chamber, engage safety, and cover the replica before leaving.

02 // ESSENTIAL EQUIPMENT

PROTECT WHAT
YOU CAN’T REPLACE.

Full-seal eye protection

Use impact-rated full-seal goggles accepted by the field. Mesh-only eye protection is not sufficient.

Face & dental protection

A lower mesh mask or full-face system protects teeth and skin. Black Ops requires full-face protection for players under 18.

Footwear

Sturdy, closed-toe boots or trail shoes with ankle support and aggressive tread.

Clothing

Long sleeves, durable pants, gloves, and weather-appropriate layers. Camouflage is optional.

Hydration & field kit

Water, snacks, red dead rag, basic tools, spare batteries, and a secure replica bag.

Replica basics

Rent first if uncertain. Learn safe handling, hop-up adjustment, magazine loading, and how to clear the replica.

03 // SYSTEMS BRIEF

KNOW YOUR PLATFORM.

AEG / electric

The usual first purchase: rechargeable battery, electric motor, broad parts support. Confirm connector type, voltage, and charger compatibility.

Beginner-friendly

Gas

Realistic operation and strong feedback, but temperature and maintenance affect performance. Magazines are more expensive and field limits still apply.

Higher upkeep

Spring

Manual action. Common for bolt-action replicas and simple backups. High-energy sniper replicas usually carry long minimum engagement distances.

Role-specific

HPA

Air tank and regulator provide consistency and tuning. Fields may restrict pressure, rate of fire, and tournament locks. Ask before buying.

COMMON COMMS.

Chrono: Testing replica muzzle energy before play.
Joule: Energy measurement that accounts for BB mass.
MED: Minimum engagement distance: the closest allowed firing range for a class of replica.
Hit: A BB strike on a valid area. Call it clearly and follow the field’s elimination procedure.
Blind man: Emergency cease-fire call used for eye protection or serious safety issues.
Dead rag: Bright cloth indicating an eliminated player, often red.
